Argentine journalist and WBAI producer Mara Bard will speak about Argentine women during the "Dirty War"

SOA Watch Long Island is pleased to present Argentine journalist and WBAI producer Mara Bard, who will show the film Las Madres:

by the U.S. and U.S.-supported governments and groups in Latin America and around the world´┐Żusing torture,
assassination, and repression against those struggling for justice.

Join Thousands at the Annual SOA Protest in Georgia

By admin on October 24, 2005

Long Island and NYC say, Not in Our Name!

We are organizing our annual trip to the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (a.k.a. the School of the Americas or SOA).
We will travel to Fort Benning near Columbus, Georgia, from November 18 to 20, 2005, and join the thousands
who gather each year to call attention to the human rights abuses
perpetrated by the graduates of the SOA. For more info, get in touch with the SOA Watch NYC and Long Island contacts. And check SOA Watch’s national website for the schedule of events.

If you can’t join us at the Vigil at the gates of Fort Benning, contact your congressperson
and urge them to sign on to HR 1217, "The Latin America Training Review Act of 2005," which already has 122 cosponsors!
