SOA Watch NYC and SOAW Long Island are affiliates of the national SOA Watch movement to shut down the School of the Americas—in 2001 renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC)—the notorious combat training school for Latin American soldiers, located at Fort Benning, Georgia.
